To tie in with the Government’s anti-epidemic work and to protect the health and safety of the public as well as staff, the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) announced today that starting from tomorrow (4 November 2021 ), except for exempted people, all PMSA staff and members of the public will be required to use the LeaveHomeSafe mobile app to scan the venue QR code before entering the PMSA offices.
Under the new arrangement, people who are aged below 12 or aged 65 or above, and those with disabilities that render the use of the app difficult, may be exempted. Instead, they will be required to complete a record form to register their name, the first four digits or letters of their identification document, their contact telephone number and the date and time of their visit. They also need to present relevant identification document for verification at the request of the staff on-site during registration. The staff may verify the contact telephone number by making phone call if necessary. Unwillingness to use the app will not be considered as justification for granting exemption.
The PMSA appeals to the property management industry to actively support and implement the Government’s new requirement of using the app in a more extensive and stringent manner.
