The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to mark the opening of its booth (No. 3C-B25 and B27) at the 2nd International Property Management and Procurement Expo (Expo) held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Ceremony was officiated by the PMSA Chairperson Tony TSE and PMSA Members, together with Members of the Legislative Council Hon Chan Pui-leung, Hon Wendy Hong, Hon Yang Wing-kit Kitson, the organiser of the Expo COMASIA Limited and representatives of the Expo supporting organisations.
For three days from today 30 August to 1 September, the PMSA will set up a booth at the Expo held in Hall 3C to 3E of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to introduce and showcase the implementation work of the PMSA under the property management (PM) industry licensing regime. As only slightly more than 300 days remain for the transitional period of the PM industry licensing regime (up to 31 July 2023) and the countdown has already begun, the PMSA has installed a countdown clock at the booth to witness together with the PM industry the gradual move towards the new milestone whereby all property management companies and relevant practitioners have to hold licence. In addition, to commend frontline PM workers for remaining steadfast in their duties during the pandemic, keeping close watch on the environmental hygiene of properties and safeguarding public health, the PMSA has specially arranged a photo gallery with the theme “Paying Tribute to Property Management Workers at the Frontline of Combatting the Epidemic”, showcasing the hard work of frontline PM workers during the epidemic as a tribute paid by the community for their crucial contributions made.
Chairperson of the PMSA Tony TSE said, “The theme of the Expo this year is ‘Upgrade Estate Management, Release Real Asset Value”. To many people of Hong Kong, their property is their greatest asset. Many factors affect property value but quality and professional PM services are undoubtedly major factors in maintaining or enhancing the value of properties. Furthermore, if properties are well-managed, we may all live and work in comfort.”
The PMSA will also launch its Mobile App “PMSA” and the Continuing Professional Development Electronic Recording System during the Expo so that it would be more convenient to browse PMSA information and for participation in continuing professional development activities and courses organised or recognised by the PMSA.
The Expo is a professional exhibiting platform for the PM industry and suppliers of related supporting facilities to feature their latest service and product offers as well as to facilitate industry communication and foster more business partnerships among the PM industry. It is a major annual event of the PM industry of Hong Kong.
