The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) has all along since its establishment strived to drive for the advancement and development of the property management (PM) industry towards enhanced quality and professionalism. In early 2022, the PMSA launched the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme to encourage continuing education amongst property management practitioners (PMPs) so as to drive the industry to advance with times. The CPD Scheme has been implemented for one year and the PMSA announced today the launching of the CPD Voucher Scheme to further motivate PMPs to enrol or participate in CPD courses or activities proactively.
The CPD Scheme sets criteria and requirements for PMP licensees’ participation in CPD activities. Through organising various CPD seminars and activities which allow PMP licensees to acquire new professional knowledge and skills, PMPs can adapt to new challenges and reach their full potential in an ever-changing society and PM work environment. The launch of the CPD Scheme has received positive feedback and active support from the industry and as of December 2022, nearly 140 activities or courses organised by PMSA Recognised Professional Bodies have been recognised under the scheme.
To further promote the CPD Scheme and enhance its effectiveness, the PMSA launched today the CPD Voucher Scheme. Any holder of provisional or formal PMP licences issued by the PMSA who has downloaded the PMSA Mobile App, and registered for a personal account, recorded at least once participation in activities/courses held or recognised by the PMSA under the CPD Scheme during the period of 1 February – 30 April 2023, and submitted personal information for registration through the CPD Voucher Scheme thematic website (https://www.pmsa.org.hk/tc/professional-development/cpd_voucherscheme/) on or before 30 April 2023, are eligible for taking part in the Voucher Scheme.
The PMSA will draw lot in early May and select five PMP winners. This will be announced at the PMSA website and Facebook page. The winners will each receive up to $10,000 CPD Vouchers for paying expenses for completion of training activities/courses (regardless of where they are held) which comply with the content and learning requirement under the CPD Scheme of the PMSA within the designated period of 24 months (June 2023 to May 2025). The details, terms and conditions of the CPD Voucher Scheme can be found at the thematic website: https://www.pmsa.org.hk/tc/professional-development/cpd_voucherscheme/.
The PMSA will continue to work with industry bodies, relevant Government departments and public organisations to arrange various PM-related seminars and activities so as to offer industry practitioners more opportunities for continuous education.
