Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) announced today that the “Anti-epidemic Support Scheme for Property Management Sector” (ASPM) under the “Anti-epidemic Fund” established by the HKSAR Government accepts online applications.
The novel coronavirus has a great impact on the entire community of Hong Kong. In this period of time, frontline property management (PM) workers (i.e. cleansing and security workers) have been doing their utmost to reinforce the community hygiene. They are playing a vital role in the areas of anti-epidemic and property maintenance.
Mr Tony TSE, the PMSA Chairperson said, “The ASPM is to provide the frontline PM workers with promptly financial support. While strengthening the protective gear of the frontline PM workers, the ASPM also serves as a recognition and encouragement for their devotion to safeguard the public health, as well as to reduce the financial burden arisen from the enhanced cleansing works. The PMSA will handle the applications with a “liberal rather than stringent” approach, so as to disburse the subsidies to the frontline PM workers as soon as possible.”
Property management companies (PMCs) / deed of mutual covenant managers (DMC Managers), as well as Owners’ Organisations (OO) from around 33,000 private residential and composite (i.e. commercial cum residential) buildings in Hong Kong are able to apply the subsidies via the following channels. Application deadline is 15 April 2020 and late submissions will not be accepted.
