The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) announced today that more than 8,200 applications for the subsidies to private residential and composite buildings (i.e. commercial cum residential) under the “Anti-epidemic Support Scheme for Property Management Sector” (“ASPM”) (Phase I) had been received. Among these applications, over 3,400 have been approved, involving subsidies of over HK$120 million. The PMSA is commissioned by the Home Affairs Department, HKSAR Government, to implement the scheme.
Mr Tony TSE, the PMSA Chairperson said, “Since the launch of the scheme, over HK$120 million have been approved which represent that a significant number of frontline property management workers and residential building blocks have received the subsidies. We would wish to appeal to the property management companies / owners’ organisations of those properties which have successfully applied for the ASPM to disburse the allowance to their registered employees as soon as practicable upon receiving the subsidies for their early benefit. Besides, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the PMSA Executive Office for their relentless efforts to process the applications and disburse the subsidies in an efficient manner under the severe coronavirus situation. The PMSA will keep up its efforts to complete the Phase I approval and disbursement work within June.
The “List of subsidised properties” of the ASPM (Phase I) is available on the webpage of ASPM (Phase I) https://aspm.pmsahk.org.hk/.
