The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) organised the “Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Seminar – Law and Regulations” on 25 October 2021. Nearly 300 PM practitioners and students of Higher Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Vocational Training Council, participated in the CPD Seminar. Most of the participants were PM licence holders, including formal and provisional licence holders.
The following guest speakers spoke at the Seminar: Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ada CHUNG Lai-ling shared with the audience about how to implement the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in everyday PM work in order to protect personal data; Assistant Director (Waste Reduction Policy) of Environmental Protection Department Jessica CHENG gave an introduction on how the PM industry can be better prepared for the implementation of the waste charging scheme; and Member of the PMSA Yip Hing-kwok shared the experience of Amoy Gardens in the pilot scheme on municipal solid waste charging with the audience.
